Great Day~

Yes, it's new years eve right now, and I've just watched the most TOUCHING show that I've ever seen in my entire life! I cry really easily when ever it comes to parts where someone needs to live their family or love ones for some reason, but I've NEVER cried so hard in my entire life while watching a movie in the cinema! I've always managed to hold back my tears and tell myself "it's just a show, there's nothing here worth wasting your tears".

A Malaysian production, "Great Day" or "Tian Tian Hao Tian" in Chinese, brings joy and laughter to everyone but at the same time,  it reminds you how important it is to love those around you, especially your family members. It's definitely a family show to watch, no matter you're celebrating the upcoming CNY or not.

Honestly, i thought the show would be just a funny one like what they did last year with "WOOHOO Da Ri Zi". The show was so funny last year, that i decided to give this one a shot. Not hearing any critics of the shows from my friends at all, I actually managed to pressure myself to watch a Malaysian Production! We all know that not all local production movies are as high class as those Hollywood shows. I mean, the budget is definitely WAY much more SMALLER, and the actors and actresses here aren't really as good as the Oscar winners! However, being able to sit through the whole show, laughing so hard and crying so deep, no wonder the theater was so full the moment we stepped in.

Now I'm not gonna sit here and type out all the spoilers of the show, so you're gonna just have to watch the show yourself and see how WONDERFUL the show is. All i can say is releasing the show just before CNY is such a great way to remind everyone the real true meaning of CNY. It's not about the money you get from elders, nor the cookies we get to eat till we gain so much weight, it's about the reunion, the feeling of love that we get to share among each other. It's exactly like thanksgiving where everyone from near and far gathers around a big table and share food with one another. Reuniting with your love ones once a year, especailly those who love you the most.

I never knew how much my grandparents meant to me before this. I know i love them so much, but i never thought how much I've missed them. Old people are definitely annoying and fussy sometimes, but they're still our love ones, and they do all those because they love us. I remember watching a scene where the grandpa actually helped his granddaughter to do her homework, taking her to school, even helping her with her performance when her mom was busy at work. How hard i cried when the girl said that there was only 10 times if they could only visit her grandpa every once a year, as people don't live forever. How sad she was, just sitting on the swing, crying her heart out when her grandpa went back to the old folks home. I was that little girl. I used to cry my heart out when i were to go back home to my parents house when i was a young girl, i used to be fetched home by my grandpa, my grandma even helped me out with my homework when i was struggling during primary school. Just being to see how much i was able to relate to that little girl, who missed her grandpa so much when he went back home. Is no wonder i cried so hard when i first left home to pursue my education overseas. Even just typing this makes me wanna cry even more!!!

"Great Day" proves how strong a message can be sent through to everyone by tears and laughter. Do Love your parents, your grandparents, your family, your love ones, As we are human beings, and we don not live forever. Hold on to the time you have with them, appreciate what you have, and remember, Everyday is always a GREAT DAY!
