About Me

Regi Leong, a.k.a Yi Wern Leong, born on 28th July 1990 is an ordinary girl with your usual everyday problems.

Born in Penang, Malaysia, Regi Leong has always had an interest in singing, dancing and acting. At the age of 4, she's been going for music, ballet and computer classes. She's also a multilingual girl, who is able to talk in 5 different languages, including English, Chinese, Malay, Hokien and Cantonese (both different kinds of Chinese dialects).

Mom and Dad both are working people, with mom working as a Secretary and dad as an Engineer, Regi wasn't really born into a musically interest family. But since small, Regi has always showed interest in music. Her mom realised it and quickly sent her off for music classes, which was then followed by ballet classes as well. Her dad on the other hand wanted her to follow his footsteps and so sent her off for computer lessons at a very young age as well. With both art and skill, Regi grew up to be an all rounded girl.

Although Regi stopped ballet at the age of 9, her love for music has never stopped. Her piano skills are now up till Grade 6 and during high school, Regi joined the Chinese Orchestra Band and the Harmonica Band and is now able to play both the pipa (chinese classic guitar)  as well as the harmonica. Regi was too interested in socializing with people. And therefore joined the Interact club during high school.

Regi really loved being on stage. Since kindergarten Regi has always loved performing on stage. During end of year performance she'll have a one-men-show performance, which her mom helped her out with. In junior and junior high, Regi would join competitions like singing and story telling just to get on stage. Although she did't win every competition she joined, but she managed to grasp hold of some awards, like 3rd place in poetry telling and story telling. Regi's achievement was made successful as she was able to imitate speaking words from cassettes she used to have as a little girl. And up till recently Regi's been interested in voicing all over again.

Right now Regi's currently studying Product Design Engineering in Swinburne University of Tech. in Melbourne Australia and is currently in sem 3. Having an interest in arts and creativity, and also to fulfill her dad's needs, Regi decided to take up a course which  both satisfies her dad's and her own interest.
