"Why are there so many, songs about rainbows? And what's on the other side?..... Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me!"
It's been a while since the muppets released their last big screen movie. In fact, it's been 12 years since the muppets appeared on the big screen, and oh boy, what a come back they've made this year!!! In fact, if you're a big muppet /jim henson fan like me, you're gonna love their newest movie "The Muppets"!!
First up, if you think that the muppets are the same as saseme street, then you better hope onto Wikipedia and get your facts right! In fact, the only thing that relates both the muppets and the sesame street gang together is their creator, Jim Henson, whom sadly past away in 1990. Jim Henson is one of the most fantastic guys on earth! In fact, Jim Henson is actually the Walt Disney of all his muppets characters.
Since Jim Henson's death, the muppets have slowly been forgotten by public, as more of it's tv shows were losing a lot of it's original taste. In fact, ever since the Disney Company bought over the muppets, everything became so "disney"-ish, which was when the muppet started losing it's own magic.
Ask a kid today, and most of them would say that the muppets is just another pre-school show like sesame street, where the truth is that the muppets have never been so pre-school like ever before! In fact, if you were to watch this movie, you'll know how "adult"-ish the muppets can be.
So, what's the show about?? The show starts of with Walter (the new muppet chracter) finding out about how the muppets studio was going to be teared down. In order to save the studio, he with the help of his brother, Gary (played by Jason Seagal) and Mary, Gary's girlfriend (played by Amy Adams) go out in search of Kermit and try to get the whole gang back together again in order to save the studio.
I honestly think that the begining of the show was OK as yes, there was one cute cheesy song called "Life's a Happy Song" which gets you into the mood of the show. However, the show just went uphill when Kermit the Frog start to enter the scene (like 20 min later). To those muppets fans out there, I'll bet you'll be screaming your lungs out at this moment!
Besides being able to see the ENTIRE muppet gang (which includes Miss Piggy! Scooter! Gonzo! Fozzie! Animal! Dr. Teeth! Bunsen and Beaker! Flyod!..... omg, I'm gonna name every single one of them if i don stop here) you'll too be able to see fabulous guest starts like Wooppie Goldberg, Selena Gomez, Jim Heson, Neil Patrick Harris, Jack Black, and many more!
The Muppets is a Must See show of the year! The fact that this is the very first time that disney didn't bother adding their so call "magic" into the show did not destroy the show at all! Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE disney fan as well, but the muppets is something that NO ONE suppose to mess with! If you donno who the muppets are, this is the time to get to know them, and if you already are a fan like me... I bet that you'll be having tears in your eyes, as the show brings back memories of it's old shows and movies!!!!
So what are you waiting for? Grab a ticket now and go watch the show!!! NOW!! XD

Smurfs
LALALALALALA.. sing a happy song... LALALALALALA... work the whole day long... XD
Ok, so it's been a while since i saw this show, but.. this show is so COOL! No i'm not joking... this show is wicked! And watching Neil Patirck Harris as the dad was so cool!! Yes i know i LOVE Neil right now, he is just so cool!! XD
Right above the show, personally i think it's quite like Enchanted, the " Enchanted creature" gets chase out from their enchanted world by the bad guy, comes into new york city, find themselves staying with "human" people, and end's up finding their way home. Yes it's really similar to the disney's "Enchanted" storyline, but it was still a good movie. With touching scenes and such cute blue creatures running around, definitely worth buying the dvd right now. I'll get it.. XD won't you??
I'm Back!!!
Yes.. back on board to blog more stuff! First of all, to explain why I was missing for so long. Well let's just say i had a really really REALLY busy semester. This was one of the toughest semester I've ever been through! I mean, building a solar boat (which failed miserably), coming up with a die cast machine design, PDE 4, Photoshop... hell yea I would say this is one of the busiest semester I've been through.
Well anyway, it's all over. PHEW! I finally can catch back up with my sleep again! And the best thing is that.. I'm going home!! TMR!! YEAH! I really wanna enjoy a vacation, where i can just relax.. and close my eyes... and.. ooo a spa vacation would be excellent right now don't you think? XD Can't wait till i get back home n SLEEP!!! ZZZZZZZZZ.
Oh right, I didn't even blog about my vacation in Sydney during winter sem did I? Well, mom and dad just came by to Melbourne for a visit, but since MOM went off booking the wrong ticket, I had to fly down to Sydney to meet them instead. Still, hell ya! It was one hack of a birthday for me! Since i had winter course this year and i didn't even had a real winter break at all. Being able to celebrate my 21st birthday down at Sydney with my best friend was a blast! The only thing that was sad about it was that I didn't climb the Sydney bridge at all! T.T What a bummer. We went whale watching instead and by the time we came back, there wasn't any place left for the climb! T.T All that running for 2 whole months, just to build my stamina up to climb the bridge.. argh!!
And yea, we kinda had a long nice drive back to Melbourne from Sydney, which was where i slept throughout most of the journey, since it was all cows and grass and roads on the way (boring~)....
So, that's about sums up my trip to Sydney. Will be uploading more pictures of the trip to FB soon! (Mostly when i get back to mal... or maybe tonight.. XD)

Kung Fu Panda 2
Have you guys seen it? I was expecting that Dreamworks would be coming up with something simple again, like Sherk's last movie, which was half good and half bad....and also Megamind, which was kinda of disappointing to watch.... But than again, i was wrong!! Kung Fu Panda 2 actually manage to upstage it's first show!
I don't ever remember Kung Fu Panda being so funny at all! No seriously! I was laughing out non stop!!! And the scene where Po recap about his past, from a baby and how his biological parents left him, to how his current dad (the goose) actually decided to adopt him and how much time they spent together. Tears were definitely flowing through my eyes as it reminded me so much about my own mom and dad. How much time we used to spend together, and how they spent so much time taking care of me. What a wonderful show! Never ever thought Dreamworks would ever pull of a show so touching at all! Never!!
This definitely added a lot of Disney moments in it, where there's action and love, all bundled up into a cute yet terrific show! And to be sitting right at the 3rd row, with our 3d glasses on, the effects where just SUPERB! It was like the entire thing was popping out! And i thought sitting in the 3rd row would make me faint. I hate sitting in seats that are too close to the screen in cinema's as it just makes me sick, seeing everything up-close. Al thought i did had a headache right after this show, but it was worth it, as the effects were just eye popping amazing. From the very first moment Po spitted out the dumplings from his mouth, we could just feel the disgusting feeling in you as his saliva came poring out as well. Extremely good effect there i would say!
And the smart usage of paper puppets to show Po's past, just gives you a scene of how amazing the art in china is! Every flash back that Po took was just simply amazing!!! Effects were great, it really looked liked as if we were watching a paper puppet show from china!
And also, not forgetting to mention how CUTE little baby Po is..... The Big gigantic Po is just cute enough, but baby Po?? Just imagine, shrinking the current Po 3 times smaller, and making him have an attitude of a 1 year old baby.. oh god.. how i wish i could just carry him home! he's just the most adorable thing i've ever seen!! And to see so many scenes of baby po... that makes me even more... URGH! HE's just so CUTE!!!
Definitely a show i would recommend watching, just too good to be true! Dreamworks for once has caught up with the heart and soul of the work of Disney... which what makes this movie even more impressive. And with a suspending thriller at the very end of the show, we'll definitely be seeing a Another Panda movie soon! Can't wait for the next one now.. XD

Miracle!! Thank LORD!!!
So i was enjoying my Friday... as it was suppose to be a holiday, (actually i had to get some work done.. but oh well... it's was a Friday.. what was i suppose to feel???) So i was in this LAZY mode till sundown when Tina texted me, and told me that the results were out the next day!!! OMG!! And i thought it was on the 12th! and now she's telling me it's on the 2nd???!!! OH MY! Of cause i went into the site to double check, and i realized that she was RIGHT! That's when the heart attack started to kick in.
And that kept me up, almost the entire night!! Watched big bang theory in order to make me feel sleepy and when the moment i felt sleepy..... i thought of the results again and there i go.. wide awake! AGAIN! So what was i suppose to do??!!! I was freaking out the entire night!!! Till 4an that is... when Sam IM me. And told me that the results were out! By the way of his status on msn.. it looked like he got excellent results! So i was kinda hoping i was going to get the same exact results as he did... as we studied so hard together during the exam period.
And TADA!!!! That was really a MIRACLE!!! I actually got a D for my machine design and Engineering Management!! Oh god!!! And to think that our group screwed up so much during the building and reporting process of the wind turbine. Yea, our wind turbine failed so badly.. it didn't work at all!!!! Was so hopping that i would at least get a P... as i don not want to go thorugh that freaking experience again! And TADA!! No more redoing.. anything!!!!
Kinda slightly disappointed that i got only a P for my minor... but thn again, I was so busy focusing on the other assignments that i only spent like a few hours on my minor project? P is definitely good enough!!! Definitely... Thank god thank lord!! I'm actually so damn happy!!! That was really unexpected results at all!! Having a D for my machine design!! That was really really really good!!! Thank you god for helping me through this face.... Thank you!!! XD

Tony Awards!
The Tony Awards was awesome!!! I mean it. Neil Patrick Harris did such a wonderful job hosting the show. Love every bit of it. And who wouldn't have known, "The Book of Mormon" actually won best musical! XD South Park still rules for now.
Sad to say, Alan Maken didn't win this time for his songs in "sister Act" as well, "The Book of Mormon" took home almost everything, like last year's Memphis and the year before "Billy Elliot", but still, Book of Mormon deserves it, as its such a funny south park kind of musical, with so much heart in it. No doubt the works of Robert Lopez (he wrote songs for avenue q as well) is always Awesome when it comes to humor. Can't wait till someone actually uploads it onto youtube... I mean by the time i get to see this musical, it will take AGES man, given the fact that i'm stuck here in Australia, and that this musical will NEVER have a chance to be brought back into my home country as well. I know, it sucks staying in my home country, we don't get to see anything like this at all! No musical theater work is ever being seen highly upon there. No one cares about all these hard work at all!
The only HOT thing that's going aroundright niw (or i assume as everyone's posting the same CRAZY thing on facebook) are those pop korean singers who, well i have no idea what's so good about it. Maybe is just because i don't see how much difference these korean people put into their work. I mean, it's like, hot dancing music, with added techno sound effects to cover up a BIG HUGE group of people, (i wonder how these groups live as well, given the fact that being in a group one will have lesser pay as well). It's insane isn't it? Coloured hair, big eyes, singing with no vocal strength at all. (Maybe i should be a korean star? LOL!! Hey come on,, i can SING u know?)
Or maybe is just not my cup of tea. Prefering that even though Glee doesn't sing their own songs, their vocals are fantastic, with Lea Micheal having the voice of such strong powerfull vocals, and Criss Colfer with such a uniquely high pitch voice. Daren too... omg.. every single note that he hits doesn't even needs fine tuning! Is no wonder these people can sing Broadway. Takes so much effort just to sing songs like that don't you think? XD
Anyway, GREAT JOB Neil!!! love his hosting skills, hope he'll be like Huge Jackan next time, hosting the Oscars as well next year! Keep up the good work!! Well be waiting for Neil's next project, "SMURFS"! Can't wait for those blue cute guys to hope into the cinema soon!! XD

So, planing to go to Sydney to visit my beloved friend Kylyn. XD Planing to just hope onto the plane a day after class ends which is, btw on the 27th of July, a day b4 my birthday! Ain't it excited?? Well, my parents were planing to come on by and take me to NZ, but hey! I wanna spend time with my friends when i turn 21. At least, i wanna be an INDEPENDENT women by the time i turn that age right? XD (Ah.. i'm finally turning into an old lady.. LOL. And to think how YOUNG Justin Beiber is.. WOW, I am OLD)

Of cause, me as a HUGE Alan Maken fan will be rutting for his musical "Sister Act", but thn again, seeing the producers of south park coming up with this brand new musical "The Book of Mormans"... That looks interesting as well don't you think? I mean come on! It's the producers of SOUTH PARK! And just by listening to the music, it felt FANTASTIC! Now to find the live streaming web site and get my pc hook up to my uni's internet b4 the whole thing starts! or should i just leave it and waste my internet speed to stream it live anyway? Hmm...
Still, can't wait to see Neil Patrick Harris do his thing agian! Great job for being offered to host the Tony's this year! He's amazing.. Love him! GO NEIL! XD
Will be writting to see who finally wins the tony awards!! Can't wait! XD

Great Day~
Yes, it's new years eve right now, and I've just watched the most TOUCHING show that I've ever seen in my entire life! I cry really easily when ever it comes to parts where someone needs to live their family or love ones for some reason, but I've NEVER cried so hard in my entire life while watching a movie in the cinema! I've always managed to hold back my tears and tell myself "it's just a show, there's nothing here worth wasting your tears".
A Malaysian production, "Great Day" or "Tian Tian Hao Tian" in Chinese, brings joy and laughter to everyone but at the same time, it reminds you how important it is to love those around you, especially your family members. It's definitely a family show to watch, no matter you're celebrating the upcoming CNY or not.
Honestly, i thought the show would be just a funny one like what they did last year with "WOOHOO Da Ri Zi". The show was so funny last year, that i decided to give this one a shot. Not hearing any critics of the shows from my friends at all, I actually managed to pressure myself to watch a Malaysian Production! We all know that not all local production movies are as high class as those Hollywood shows. I mean, the budget is definitely WAY much more SMALLER, and the actors and actresses here aren't really as good as the Oscar winners! However, being able to sit through the whole show, laughing so hard and crying so deep, no wonder the theater was so full the moment we stepped in.
Now I'm not gonna sit here and type out all the spoilers of the show, so you're gonna just have to watch the show yourself and see how WONDERFUL the show is. All i can say is releasing the show just before CNY is such a great way to remind everyone the real true meaning of CNY. It's not about the money you get from elders, nor the cookies we get to eat till we gain so much weight, it's about the reunion, the feeling of love that we get to share among each other. It's exactly like thanksgiving where everyone from near and far gathers around a big table and share food with one another. Reuniting with your love ones once a year, especailly those who love you the most.
I never knew how much my grandparents meant to me before this. I know i love them so much, but i never thought how much I've missed them. Old people are definitely annoying and fussy sometimes, but they're still our love ones, and they do all those because they love us. I remember watching a scene where the grandpa actually helped his granddaughter to do her homework, taking her to school, even helping her with her performance when her mom was busy at work. How hard i cried when the girl said that there was only 10 times if they could only visit her grandpa every once a year, as people don't live forever. How sad she was, just sitting on the swing, crying her heart out when her grandpa went back to the old folks home. I was that little girl. I used to cry my heart out when i were to go back home to my parents house when i was a young girl, i used to be fetched home by my grandpa, my grandma even helped me out with my homework when i was struggling during primary school. Just being to see how much i was able to relate to that little girl, who missed her grandpa so much when he went back home. Is no wonder i cried so hard when i first left home to pursue my education overseas. Even just typing this makes me wanna cry even more!!!
"Great Day" proves how strong a message can be sent through to everyone by tears and laughter. Do Love your parents, your grandparents, your family, your love ones, As we are human beings, and we don not live forever. Hold on to the time you have with them, appreciate what you have, and remember, Everyday is always a GREAT DAY!

Ok, so i was spending some of my time on the internet looking at the Oscar nomination list this afternoon, and guess what, Toy story 3 actually snag 5 nominees including Best Picutre!!! And for a disney show, i say that's SUPERB!!! You guys know how big of a disney fan am i right? So seeing toy story 3 getting so many nobs, It's just great!!!
And as for tangled, well, let's just say toy story 3 took up most of it. At least tangled got 1 for best original song, "I see the light" written by Allen Maken, who is like the worlds BEST composer!! Maken writes like the BEST songs for any musical you could find! My fav of his would be "Part of Your World" in the little mermaid and of cause "beauty and the Beast"and "A whole new world" and ... OMG there's just too many!!! My if he doesn't win this one, i'll just cry my eyes out!! He lost this Golden Globe already last week, Please let Allen get this one!! But yet again, toy story is also up for a nob in this category. So, i donno, who will win?? I still hope Tangled get at least one win!!! XD
And for the whole nomination list, just go google it up yourself thn, it's so LONG!! I'm not gonna copy it here. Boy, can't wait for the oscars now! So many new shows up for grabs this season. Who's gonna win it?? I hope Toy story takes home Best Picture and Best Animated Pic. XD Come on, it's gonna be disney's first win if this happens!! XD

Dad's Birthday
So it was dad's birthday yesterday, so me and mom decided to take him out for dinner. And since i got my pay the day before that, well... ok.. i should treat him right??
So we went there, got movie tickets to watch Gulliver's Travels, which was in 3d.. And guess who we bumbed into?? Wai Kit!! So ok, an extra guy to treat for dinner than. And so we all went to Sakea Shushi for dinner!! My, went was the last time i stepped into that place?? I can't really remember. Anyway, had quite a good dinner, and wai kit had to go do some stuff so, it was only me, my mom and of cause my dad that set off to watch the show.
Well, for 3d show, it wasn't really Good 3d. I mean, yeah... people were more realistic, but i still prefer animated characters in 3d... those are lk, more... REAL!! You know, eye popping kinda of effect? But still... the story line was good, funny, wicked. I mean, if i were that guy, who went into an island full off little people, man, how i wish to be their hero then. And build a time square of my own, in that little island. XD Wouldn't you just love it?? I would... XD
Well, if your planing to watch Gulliver's Travels, please just watch it in 2d, it's not really that good in 3d... no really seriously. Do go watch the show, but save your money up and watch the 2d version of it. ok?? Btw, Jack Black was amazing in the show. Can't wait till his next big show comes out... You know, the one with the panda in it?? XD
